The inaugural edition of the World Utilities Congress will take place from the 9th to the 11th of May in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi. ESB International is honoured to be both exhibiting and presenting at the event.

The Congress, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Committee and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and hosted by TAQA, focuses on the latest products, innovations and technology across the global utility landscape.

Over the three days, the Congress will provide a powerful, global networking and knowledge exchange platform drawing together ministers, global leaders and key power and water industry stakeholders to discuss the business-critical needs as well as to network and identify new solutions and opportunities.

The event will showcase the sector’s central role in transitioning to a new era for sustainable energy and water, and industry leaders will share insights and strategies on digital transformations and building resilient low-carbon business models for utilities.

In addition to the exhibition, the Congress will feature a technical conference which will provide a diverse range of technical and engineering insights that will drive innovative ideas, help overcome challenges and highlight technical expertise. ESB International is delighted to be represented by two of our experts at the technical conference.

Dr John Rafferty, Oman Country Manager, will be co-chairing two sessions at the conference:

  • Decarbonisation and Environmental Sustainability in the Power and Water Industry
  • Smart Meter Case Studies

Mr Jack Herring will be presenting on:

  • Monitoring and analysis of MV/LV transformers and active system management enabling a low carbon future in Ireland
