The energy sector is undergoing significant change. As we move towards increased utilisation of renewable energy and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we take essential steps to decarbonise our society. However, to realise a low carbon future, we can go even further by understanding how and when we use energy to maximise the potential for renewable generation while reducing overall demand.

Dr John Rafferty, ESB Internationals Oman Country Manager, discusses the importance of energy efficiency, covering topics such as; what we can learn from Irelands increasing levels of renewable generation, the steps to realising a low-carbon future for the energy sector and what more we can do to decarbonise our society.
